I love working with people who pride themselves on being self-motivated but who have, for a variety of reasons, lost direction, clarity and focus. This can also be accompanied by a loss of confidence and low self-esteem. To a self-motivated person, having these feelings can be very unsettling and debilitating. I really enjoy exploring the issues with my clients and finding the lost pieces of jigsaw that makes up each person’s life. I love watching my client’s confidence and resilience return as they learn to use the practical tips and techniques chosen in our sessions. The icing on the cake is to see that smile once more on my client’s face.
My life has taken many turns over the years and I’ve often been pulled in directions that have led me to feel unhappy and unfulfilled. I’ve always found that taking control of life’s events has made me feel at peace with myself and has filled me with confidence. By changing direction, sometimes at the most difficult times, I’ve been able to turn negativity into a positive outcome. These leaps have helped me grow as a person and shape my career. I now run two businesses. As well as being a life coach, I’m also a birdwatching guide teaching people about birds and helping people to connect with wildlife.
As well as being a qualified life coach, I have a background in organisational development working with many local authority services. I am also a biologist with a deep understanding of medical sciences, biodiversity and conservation.
I find my focus by being part of my natural surroundings. I also find arts and crafts a good way of relaxing and love to make things from recycled materials.
